Pros

Work life balance, good benefits and nice team work environment. Stable employer with some interesting industry dominance. A good place to start a career out of college.

Cons

Little career progress and growth potential, slow decision making process, not very dynamic. If not senior management you get hardly noticed for the work done. Need to work on recognition of lower rank employees to boost morale

Pros

First of all considering the gamut of small vendors in the SCADA industry in India, Siemens offers great pay. But compare it with other big names like ABB or Areva maybe not as good but not too bad either. The best thing about Siemens is the work culture. It extremely relaxed for an MNC of its stature. In my two years here I barely felt any work related pressures. No wonder many employees stay here for over 20 years.

Cons

As a SCADA engg. one barely scratches the surface of the technology. Almost all products and technologies offered have been developed in Germany, so the average engineer here in India is never really exposed to the nitty gritty. Additionally all technical training offered is worthless.

Good work / life balance. Employee friendly management Good environment. Good work content. There is a freedom to employees to express themselves

Cons

Sometimes it feels that it is a kind of Government company and also you will feel that things move slowly in here. Career growth is also bit slow. Year of experience counts more than capabilities.
