Pros

There are benefits working for a divsion of a large company such as a mature and well rounded compensation package. From a day to day perspective there are many tools to use and many key approaches and decisions have established guidlines. Although limited, there are opportunities for advancement.

Cons

From my experience there is a fairly large disconnect from Sr. management expectation and reality in terms of divsion capability. When this disconenct rears it's head the first response is for everyone to work harder not smarter. Most of the folks in my divsion have little to no faith in the leadership decisions and are concerend over the lack of transparency of Sr management which has a negative impact on the morale and working environment. The compensation is on the low end of the scale.

Pros

Great people to work with. There are a lot of senior and experienced people working at Siemens. The work and life balance are also great.

Cons

Not a lot of room for upward movement. Some product lines are cutting positions. The raises are an average of 3.5%. It doesn't matter if your a top performer and average, you're going to get the same raise.

Pros

I initially thought the reputation of the company and with that, I thought the company will be a better place to work for, but after couple of months on the job. I discovered that it was a wrong chess move.

Cons

Lack of Leadership on the part of the supervisor and senior management Leadership do not know how to inspire greatness in their subordinates Limited chance for advancement in terms of advance to a better opportunity Siemens promotes a feudal society, a society where sales associates are kings and the engineers and technicians that does the actually job are consider as servant Senior management do not promote educational advancement. Work places lack an air of professionalism, employees gossip, backbbite, crack stupid jokes
