Pros

Good pay No micromanagement Work load always there Work van w/ ezpass Challenging work Resume booster

Cons

Poor accountability all the way up the chain. Upper Management probably thinks any old monkey could do this. Poor hiring choices, 10% carry the load. No onboarding process for new techs but don't worry you will get your Yammer emails, along with every other corporate fluff position's email about nothing. Digital KnowledgeBase??? What's that.. Vaccine mandate.

Pros

Students are nice and supprotive.

Cons

I have an engineering degree but I was assigned a role in an unrelated field. I completed my sceta co-ops in this unrelated role and when I asked at the end of the program if I could switch to an engineering role I was told “no.”. The sceta contract that I signed as a student locked me in for four years with siemens. I have to stay with the company or I will be fined $40,000. I feel a lot of resentment towards the company and the position. I wish that I never joined in the first place.

Pros

- friendly environment - 3 sick days per year - circa 5 bridge days per year - various benefits (like vouchers, etc. - 150eur/year) - team building actions 1-2 per year - international company - you are using foreign language(s) daily - stable job (if your project ends, they are trying to find you new position, not fire you)

Cons

- lot of internal technologies - you are unable to use lot of knowledge in another company - relatively low salary comparing to another companies in same city - your carrier growth is absolutely not in your hands (by this I dont mean like: I will be one day boss of this company, I mean growing in terms of knowledge of techologies of your choice - they are deciding what you will focus on, not you) - switching between projects doesnt exist (even though it is promised on interview) - no time to learn new things, only what is really necessary to do your current task (kinda same / extension to point 3 in cons) - lot of projects are relicts of history, using outdated technologies
