Pros

Salary is good, Co-workers are awesome. Level of expertise, experience and knowledge is outstanding. Lots of PTO if you don't get sick. Training is available but must be approved by budget and is frequently denied.

Cons

Siemens engineering - absolutely dominated by white males. Diversity does not exist. Pretty much a good old boy's club that dictates performance rating, perks, compensation. Management is too worried about corporate Siemens and has no clue what is going on. Vacation and sick time is now all PTO. If you have an operation (or maternity leave), you are forced to use all PTO so you do not have 1 day of vacation for the rest of the year.

Pros

Siemens continues to pay salaries even though the entity maybe losing money.

Cons

Many of the skills expected to be possessed by senior management are non-existent. Management of companies is completely centralised in Munich and lin-country personnel simply follow directives. Managament is by computer, guidelines and circulars leading to treatment of employees which is extremely impersonal, often impolite, usually rude and bullying. Stifles initiative and creativity... higly bureaucratized.

Pros

Siemens is a large well known global company. This is a well recognized brand on the resume. Salary is ok and benefits are health ins. and 401(k).

Cons

The Trenton site was only site not consolidated into the new North Carolina facility because of legacy asbestos law suits. They are isolating this site until can be shuttered. The products are old and no new products are coming out of this site. Most of the site property has been divided up and sold as lots. The location is in a very bad area of Trenton. Management is combative with its Union workforce which makes for a uneasy situation. This site is the armpit of the company and many affiliates do not even want to do business with it. If you want to work for Siemens, This is a bad entry spot for this global firm.
