Pros

The pay is decent and the benefits are good.

Cons

I have yet to take time off and not work most of the time. The constant chaos is very stressful. The company leaders talk about trying to turn a profit, but their actions don't say the same thing. They just spend $$$$$$ on the oddest things.

Pros

One of the best companies in the world to work for right now. Great vision, smart, friendly, fun people to work with. One of few companies that actually lives up to its values (Kind, Smart, Creative).

Cons

Inevitable volatility post-IPO, some downsizing which damaged morale and made jobs feel less secure in short term. Some areas of business remain in post-startup mode. The process of rationalizing management layers and processes can be painful.

Pros

- Some cool coworkers (although they’re all leaving). - Great food. - Standard slew of tech benefits.

Cons

- Absolutely no growth potential. They don’t care about investing in their employees. - “Council”, conducted mainly by white employees, is cultural appropriation and a mockery of native cultures. - Sexual harassment is tolerated (and sometimes encouraged). If you’re a woman or LGBT, you will be harassed. If you are a sexual harasser, you will be promoted. - Management is incompetent and behaves like children. - Business decisions are irrational and delusional and often completely incomprehensible. - Management lies to your face. - HR will generally just ignore you. - Management will manipulate you to suit their purposes and throw you under the bus. - Internal politics is toxic (again, management consists of immature children). - Anonymous surveys aren’t anonymous and they will retaliate against you.
