Pros

People are very friendly, competent and approachable. Nothing is too much trouble and you will always have people to rely upon. Headquarters are a great location with great facilities and benefits for those located at HQ. The company is pretty good at recognising talent and hard work, commitment is recognised and their HR and talent management approaches have improved tremendously in the last few years. Starting salaries are generally well researched and level set in the market.

Cons

There is a distinct lack of transparency in regard to corporate strategy, it's execution and communication. Recent changes in senior management, leadership and board level roles has introduced a very unsettled environment. With multiple board level changes naturally having an impact on C level support, the high turnover in CEO’s in recent years is to be expected. Recent employee layoffs globally have been somewhat difficult to understand, given the lack of communicated strategy and direction. The software and technology is far behind what the market expects, while the product strategy and technology direction remain on their current path it is difficult to see how they will make the advances they need to make in order to stay relevant. Stibo Systems lack the ability to execute with agility, constantly battling for internal resources and competing priorities. This has a detrimental impact on key people in the business that recognise a lack of leadership, focus and ability to deliver, resulting in those individuals leaving the business. This underinvestment or overstretching of active initiatives, has been chronic for many years and directly resulted in many failed initiatives. Without access to the inner sanctum of what to some may appear to be akin to a “illuminati”, it is hard to understand how the business can evolve. Lacking modern approaches, a leadership team that is moving the product in a less than optimal direction will only see it expend time and money on initiatives that will not leapfrog the competition, merely keep pace with it. A culture of stability, security and trust has long been a tenant of Stibo Systems values, but that is now challenged by current leadership behaviours and lack of appreciation for cultural differences and sensibilities.

Pros

- Respectful work culture, diversity/inclusion and a decent work-life balance. - Global list of enterprise-level clients - Great product in the MDM space, that serves the purpose and needs of the business.

Cons

Stibo Systems is trying hard to live up to the legacy it wanted to build as a "200+ years old company" but is faltering in its core values of passion and purpose? - Constant changes, though intended for the good, aren't leading to results and scaling company growth. - Lack of budget/investment(or supposedly the lack) in key areas such as customer success/support and product development is hurting in recent times. - A wannabe global company, but very self-centred around the nordic folks. A few people from different part of the world, who have done their best can forget about moving up the career ladder within the company. - Strategy - a lot of talks, ideas and intended execution, however, the company has not moved anywhere in the last 2 years. - Product management is trying hard to catch up but doesn't look like they are in the game anymore. - People retention - is perhaps the number 1 on my list, however, keeping it to the last if anyone really cares to read through this entire list.
