SCC in US is a temporary job for the desperate
Pros
Work from home and salary. Take it if you're desperate but trust me, you'll soon not care about the money after misery and stress set in.
Cons
Safety call center "Management" (or lack thereof) very mercurial, loves to gaslight, unprofessional, they treat professionals like buffoons bc they are on a high horse, very fake nice. They are clones of each other. They lack workflow management. Work inequity is brazen but they don't fix bc it doesn't affect them, they only care that calls are answered somehow/someway by someone, even if it means work isn't equitable (there are ways to fix that. Hello! cross train all of your staff). They cover inequities and favoritism by claiming we aren't privy to xyz of what other staff do, but we are, bc we all talk. They feign to care but don't, they never managing fairly. They have no idea how miserable people are. Ppl willing to take 30k a year less bc of how cluelessly managed the call center is. Management only takes compliments, if you say anything otherwise or ask them to make something more efficient, even constructive feedback, they take it personally and give 'tude, or gaslight you. They prefer ppl who only say yes cheerlead. Some ppl have figured that out and can be the worst workers but if they say omg i love this team, they can get away with murder, while hard working people with dignity get trampled on. Culture and morale is horrible bc management lies to staff about why people leave and they think we don't talk to each other and don't know the truth. We know everyone didn't leave for medical? Why? bc we keep in touch. We aren't dumb or in a bubble. No way to give real feedback to fix anything so everyone says they are happy to management to keep the job til they find a way out.
