Great employees, but company downsizing

Pros

Coworkers have integrity and care about the quality of their work. A lot of remote work positions. Good work/life balance.

Cons

Lack of communication to employees. Usually find out what the company is doing through LinkedIn posts. Laying off experienced employees and rehiring in low cost regions. Layoffs are not announced. Employees just disappear, unless they take the initiative to email colleagues that they are leaving.

Knowledgeable and hard working study start up specialists

Cons

Lack of structural and change management support in the project management organisation resulting in low knowledge from the country startup specialists and supervisors to support the reporting into the Start up system.

Pros

I’m comfortable here — which frankly, is wonderful. Based on my specific role (which is a bit unique) I have great work/life balance and great pay. But requires setting boundaries and being firm.

Cons

It’s an agency, so it can be stressful and demanding at times. Upward mobility depends primarily on willingness to do new business.
