Pros

It's a big company with decades of experience across all sectors. There is a process for everything. You can learn a lot if you can manage spare time from the regular workload.

Cons

Try to negotiate salary hard when you join the company. Once there, your salary never increases. Even when you have strong performance and good reviews, the merit pay will barely go beyond 3%. You are lucky if you get a 10% hike for promotion to a higher position. This is the reason no one stays more than a few years.

Pros

Syneos Health has pockets of good leadership at departmental level. Active leadership growing employees and managing appropriately.

Cons

Syneos Health continues to struggle in connecting with what they say versus what they do....too many leaders that are carry-overs from previous smaller companies and who have not grown as well as the company has creating lots of issues. Senior leadership is not connected to an active plan to resolve all seeking to cash in over time versus improving workplace environment.

New Name but It is Really still INC

Pros

Overall, the people I interactive with were nice and hard workers

Cons

With the merger, they said it was going to be a new company but really they are just using INC's procedures/policy/culture. Personally, I don't think management really took time to learn the culture of Inventiv Health and try to incorporate it into this new company. When they got rid of the Line Managers (LM) overnight a year ago, that was the indication that they did not care about truly trying to merge both companies. They put these additional tasks on the CTLs and did not give them adequate support/training. Which caused Inventiv staff that had been working on career advancement with their Line Managers to be left in the dark because the CTLs were not use to that function. So, it looked like the people that did get promoted were from the INC group. Why? Because their CTLs were used to doing both roles. Also, I'm not sure if the company got to big but IT and TMF groups were horrible and just caused more frustration. Sometimes, it felt like no one/no group knew how things were supposed to work. Also, I knew several people that tried to move to different departments and followed the correct process and never heard anything from HR/recruiter or whoever. Not even anything to say their submission had been received or even denied. Nothing. However, we would hear about how many new people they were hiring. The company was more concerned about getting new people instead of helping their current people.
