Pros
Friendly colleagues outside of management
Cons
I moved to a new team from another part of the business, I was given no training or support in my new role. My new manager didn't even bother to introduce himself to me, I had to initiate the call after 2 weeks of silence. The pattern is to get ignored all month and then get demands to produce numbers for month end. The software and processes that are used are so outdated and manual that they probably haven't changed much since the company was founded in 80's. They have a system for everything but none of them work optimally or communicate with each other so you're spending all your time manually manipulating numbers. Another downside are the senior team who seem to think that staff are pieces on chessboard to be moved around for their amusement, I had 3 new managers in less than 5 months, apparently to streamline the work stream but all it seemed to be was an excuse for some senior managers to get a cushty new role with a fancy title but no actual team to manage.
