      Pros

      Synopsys has great work life balance, you work hard during the office hours, interact with your colleagues, sales, marketing to focus on goals ( make chips faster, smaller, less power hungry etc ) with no or little offshore teams.

      Cons

      Management has diversified into software testing/validation as opposed to EDA/CAD tools, so management looking for new growth areas. Maybe this diversification should have been done earlier.

      Pros

      Extremely flexible work schedule and caring employees. Synopsys offers a lot of opportunities for you to do whatever you're interested in and fully supports you in those endeavors.

      Cons

      My only con is the location of my office. Bloomington is fine, but there aren't enough tech people or young professionals and everyone seems to be married.
