      Cutthroat, stressful, not friendly to new hires, no one wants to help

      Financially solid company with good prospects

      Cons

      Biggest problem is lack of vision. We don't really know the company direction or strategy. On top of that the reputation for being cutthroat is warranted. Hard to know who to trust. Basics like getting information from HR is a nightmare -- no one really wants to help, just want to close the case in as little time as possible. Countless forms. Confusing benefits. Burdensome bureaucracy.

      Flexible Timings and Work. Good TeamMates. Good Enviroment to learn.

      Cons

      No work life balance. Too much Politics. Some silly people are seen like superheros if they become favorites of managers. These silly people will do some silly things and show off which will be appreciated but people who do something valuable are never brought up. Onsite opportunites give only to these set of people who are favourites. Some useless managers who are only at that position because of experience in company and not because of their talents.

      The people and their dedication to bring the best technically

      Company has grown fast from a niche space EDA software company to a high mid-range software conglomerate with a wealth of great products. From a market standpoint this causes stock analyst to compare Synopsys to other software conglomerates which are in broader non-technical space. This is resulting in growing pain changes as Synopsys transitions from a small software company focused on a high level of technical excellence to a company influenced by market analysis and comparisons
