      Review for SIG division - Great work life balance, nice people

      Pros

      - Office is just near the SF Caltrain station, very walkable - Great work life balance, no fierce competition and tendency to rush things - Dedicated focus on diversity and nice work culture - Very smart people, the analysis team is comprised of PhDs and application teams also have quality people as the hiring standards are high - The SIG division is growing and with the launch of the new Polaris SaaS platform, business is expected to grow a good amount Benefits: - 4% 401K match - ESPP (15% discount, max 10% of base salary) -10-12% annual bonus - Access to free Coursera and other learning resources - Reimbursements for education expenses - Caltrain pass for the full month / clipper card reimbursements - Weekly massages (limited spots) - Fruits, Snacks, coffee

      Cons

      - The main issue is about the compensation, pay is average / below average. - The promotions do not have any significant impact on the total compensation - No catered lunch or dinner like other places - Not much team building activities, may be once or twice a year

      Pros

      Great managers, technically proficient, world class design tools, used to be best company to learn and work at before jobs started getting outsourced outside the USA

      Cons

      Jobs being outsourced outside US, small fraction of the workforce does majority of the work, no transparency to upper management as some employees make false claims or take credit for other people’s effort, good people are being laid off or let go, working with peers in China and India offices is extremely difficult as the work culture there seems to be double-crossing and very hierarchical

      great pay great benefits fancy office snacks very civil office environment

      Cons

      open floor plan (I despise these more every year, the negative impact on my team's productivity was palpable) management has tragic lack of vision product focus is just downright missing tendency for management to outright punish innovation too much churn in management structure lack of meaningful engagement from management
