Management says that the payment is accord to market, but the type of job needs people over the average, which is guaranteed during the interviews. The salary don't increase too much during the years (even if you are promoted), and management will not do a big offer to keep you working there if you get a good offer from somewhere else.

Innovation is difficult because new code must be integrated with poorly-written legacy code, exposing bugs at every turn. It takes years to become proficient enough to contribute intellectually, but knowledge gained is largely not transferable. Overall, low growth potential and low salaries. Lots of talk about diversity but little action. Not great for young and ambitious engineers.
