      Drinking the Kool-aid isn't always a bad thing

      Pros

      On my personal team, we have a great culture of openness and hands-off management, but I understand it's not like that on every team. Work-life balance is great and hours are very flexible. My manager has a huge focus on personal growth and I've learned a great deal in my position. The company culture is fun and for the most part there is a lot of buy-in with the mission statement.

      Cons

      With a lot of buy-in with the company comes a bit of a kool-aid-drinker feel to the people of Tableau, which some people are turned off by. A main issue with the company loyalty is that people are often hesitant to address issues with the company and product. The compensation is low compared to other large companies in Seattle. Change comes very slowly.

      Pros

      Great culture/people, a committed management team. Managers are flexible and understanding. Work hard/play hard mentality. General buzz and excitement about the company is pervasive and makes for an energizing place to work.

      Cons

      Excluding Jun-Aug, Seattle is really that cloudy/rainy

      Pros

      -Powerful mission that helps organizations solve big problems. -Great culture that truly values employees. -Brilliant, transparent, visionary leadership who execute extremely well and aren't too proud to course correct the few times it is needed. Christian Chabot is a genius CEO who inspires people to achieve their best. Watch his keynotes! -We're growing fast and if you are up for the challenge, I can't think of a better place to work. I've never been more fulfilled during my career.

      Cons

      Hard to think of any cons. While it still maintains the startup feel and agility, it is no longer an early stage company, if that's what you are looking for.
