Pros

Good health insurance and stock options. The company also has a great product.

Cons

Tableau is full of managers and no leaders. It's sad that they take highly motivated and driven individuals and create a hostile work environment that fosters negativity in the work place.

Tableau Is a Great Place to Work

Pros

Awesome work culture with a real emphasis on the company's core values. There are tons of opportunities for growth within the company.

Cons

Scaling is a bit of an issue at Tableau. Despite being a data company, some systems are outdated (but being updated) and are having trouble keeping up with the company's rapid growth. Not the worst problem to have, but some systems leave a bit to be desired.

Pros

Great benefits. Open culture where execs work to be transparent about their vision for the company's future. Generally nice office/work spaces and amenities. Compensation package includes equity. Fun events and positive coworkers. Generally good morale. Christian Chabot does a good job articulating his vision for the company. He seems like a charismatic leader. I enjoy his messages to the company. He has a way of sort of imbuing the company with a sense of purpose.

Cons

In some areas the open office space makes it very difficult at times to work and concentrate because you can't escape the noise level from people talking. There can be full hours when you can't get much done due to the distractions around you. This may be just in the office where I worked- but it was prevalent there. The idea companies keep propounding about open office fascinating congratulation seems bogus to me- I believe it is economics, i.e. you can squeeze more people on the floor in the open office layout. For job functions that require a lot of reading, assimilating information, prolonged concentration and problem solving, open offices are not a good choice.
