      Pros

      I have worked at a number of "best places to work", and Tableau is far and away the favorite of my career. I am surrounded by curious, intelligent, funny, engaging and supportive individuals who are equally bought into the mission and taking the company to the next level. The enthusiasm and passion for the product and people starts at the top, and is palpable wherever you go. Tableau has grown rapidly, but there is still a small company vibe and plenty of opportunity to have an impact.

      Cons

      In reading some of the other reviews here, it appears that my experience is not universal, but I have personally never witnessed or experienced the complaints aired by others on glassdoor.

      Pros

      Great work environment, great health package, decent benefits, and an accessible upper management. Good training opportunities, awesome office locations across the globe, and hard workers across the company.

      Cons

      Will often hire from outside to fill senior positions, rather than promote worthy internal candidates. Problem is the outside senior hires often need more/longer training than the fresh minds. Hasn't been effective (and probably not even cost-effective.)

      Pros

      Everyone is very helpful to the interns and new hires (and to other full timers i'd assume) with any questions they might have. The intern program itself is fantastic. Lots of great events and people. I had a blast in Seattle and am glad I went with Tableau! The company is very transparent. The office is great. I found out that I love foosball and cold brew. Free food and drinks everywhere. Cool location as well. Your gear is great (Dual Monitor + Workstation + Macbook Pro are standard). Everyone believes and loves in the product. Its amazing to see how much of our every day productivity revolves around using the product ourselves.

      Cons

      I have some worries about the future of the company. Now that PowerBI and many other products have entered the market space, there will be a lot more competition. The current pricing and version model of the product seems to be where the issue lies. The 10.0 Release TShirts were very sub-par vs the others.
