Pros

Salesforce (Tableau parent company) make an effort to make the working experience comfortable and to follow a certain flow. It's well structured with a clear reporting framework and given they're the CRM leader, all work goes through a well managed interface, the Salesforce platform. You'll still use all the other resources too, like Slack and backend resources. The offices themselves are quite nice and well provisioned, although there's no food served on site. The reporting structure is well managed, with clearly defined direct reports and access to lateral teams. It provides very smooth working conditions.

Cons

Upper management likes their personal projects and can sometimes be unclear with the timelines. You get things like a top level requirement for all employees to attain a specific ranking in an in-house training tool that has no overlap with certifications in broad technologies or fields. You spend days attaining a rank from assorted trainings that serve no purpose outside the company, so that the company can say "look, all our employees have X rank in our training tool". They give you several months to complete this, and then change the timeline to say, "actually it's due next week."

Pros

Believe me nothing apart from salary is good

Cons

Everyday is a challenge. When you join no trainings on products and you will be given some docs and you have to do cases. Micromanagement is done so much that you will like leaving the job and many people already left. The management is just number specific they want numbers and do not understand how people are meeting targets. People are working day and night to meet numbers. If you join the Indian team forget about your life and family. The worst part is some of the managers are forcing employees to work like donkeys. Instead of taking the concern to the higher management. If you are not online manager will ping you on slack and ask are you working or not. Very bad working environment. Managers from different organisations have joined Salesforce but could not learn Salesforce values but they bought the culture from other companies and keep on imposing them. Not a single employee at Tableau Hyderabad is happy but they do not have any other option. People are looking for jobs internally or outside just after 4-5 months. There can not be any drawback of management more than this. The list is very long but I think this will be enough to ake management aware of the problems.

Pros

My direct coworkers were some of the best I have ever worked with. The sort of folks you would never mind sharing a drink with after work or when you just need a shoulder to cry on. The healthcare and kitchen snacks were also some of the best I have had.

Cons

Support was often treated as second class citizens. Any time there were company events support was left out. Management also is very disconnected to the needs of the business and the department. Requests, changes, and suggestions were always listened to however were often thrown out. Understaffed so more then often you had 2-3x the workload then what was of the typical employee. Compensation (take home) was also much lower then the Austin average. Often when bad news was brought up rather then facing the issues head on management would turn a blind eye or leave the office in order to avoid any questions or backlash.
