Pros

- Good benefits. - Fair and generally above market compensations. - Pretty good work life balance but really depends on supervisor. - Nice cafeteria and food program.

Cons

- HIGHLY political environment. A lot of passive aggressive jabs between managers jockeying for favors and a lot of behind the doors deals with upper management. - It doesn't matter how much you (or your group) contributes unless your manager is really cozy with the upper management. I've seen people in teams who contribute very little and still get to skate by just on account that their manager is "tight" with the director. - On the same point as before, if your manager isn't shining shoes and in good graces with upper management, there is little to zero chance of any promotions. - Morale has taken a HUGE dip recently with all of the "changes" (aka layoffs) that have occurred recently. - In the time that I've been here, it seems like these "changes" happen every one or two years. Most people get the feeling that its only a matter of time before they're on the chopping block so there's not a lot of peace of mind or stability. - Seems to be a big disconnect between the upper management and the rank and file. Seen a director try to force feed some "Energy Bus" mentality in his group to pick up morale but doesn't realize that its him and how he runs his ship that's the problem. - Generally not a lot of exciting work going on in the pipeline in this site. Having been around the block for a while already, sensing another "change" happening soon...

Pros

Can’t think of any honestly.

Cons

Nepotism is the true culture. There are too many people in leadership positions that have no business being in them. However, it’s a game of cliques. While the company culture praises DEI, digital data and innovation, DEPARTMENTS make up their own culture which frowns upon ideas, innovation and creativity having being told on more than one occasion that they are not looking to change anything. It’s unfortunate that leadership has no understanding of any CFR/ICH/GCP/MHRA guidelines and frequently communicate directives in direct violation of all of the above. If you highlight it, you then become the target of bullying, harassment, abuse and intimidation. The issues with data becoming so large that there literally is no way to correct them and expect the company to remain operational. Considering the power trip and narcissism of the leadership team, they micromanage all aspects of work thereby making even project managers nothing more than administrative assistants. For every digital solution the narcissistic leadership that has no interest in learning technology, implements a counterproductive manual process so they can understand… rather than training to learn. Quality is in the toilet with inconsistent, inaccurate data floating that is known to be wrong. The importance of an eTMF is not understood so little to no time is spent on ensuring inspection readiness as years long trials have a handful of documentation filed.

Pros

Pay and benefits. Work life if you have the right manager.

Cons

Reorganization. Integration. Mgt has no idea how to manage new combined large Shire/Takeda org. Many people promoted above ability level in org design. Slow decision making. Mgt and HR dont practice the values they preach and dont deliver on what they say.
