I have been working in IT for over 17 years. I moved to Fargo to accept a Technical position working for Tech Mahindra on contract with AT&T three years ago. It was ideal position and I was recognized from the both the Tech Mahindra and AT&T client for my technical expertise and customer service. Tech Mahindra is big company that have IT positions all over the U.S.

Cons

If you get in the company don't expect to be promoted or get a increase in salary. They are extremely bias and discriminate against employees that are not from India. All Management is from hired and placed with blatant favoritism towards employees from India. My qualifications, technical skills, dedication and outstanding customer service made me ideal candidate for a Management position. Despite my hard work, exceptional performance, I was let go because I inquired about Lead and Management positions when they became available. They have available Management positions but they hire there own nationality. This was supposed to be over 5 year assignment and they will let you in favor or less qualified. Tech Mahindra Management can be unprofessional and disrespectful to its employees. They pretend to be courteous but they speak in there native language in the office about you. I filed a complaint with EEOC and ND Human Rights. I currently have law suit filed against them for discrimination.

I worked in Canada for their Rogers customer service. There was no training provided. The trainer Kelly herself only kept playing irrelevant videos and we were actually never showed any mock calls, or taught about the common client queries. First day at job, we were thrown in to start taking calls without any training at all and expected to give our 100% when we didnt even know how to take bill payment from client there was no HR orientation so nothing told about paid leaves, sick day, or other stuff the shift was changed at last minute to work on sunday as well the thing that i disliked the most was the irrelevant training part where the training should have been only to show us live calls and keep us on the calls so that we could learn how to handle the queries some queries required to work on their software MAESTRO from which you can pause rogers connections, add new connection, change address, take advance payment, etc. it was all technical stuff and required to learn the software and was not easy - so we had to wait for the assistants during the call to help us out and that waiting was 20-30 min long but we were not actually suppose to keep customer on hold the team lead was changed without notice my team lead didnt give any feedback for 2 weeks and suddenly gave warning everything was bad about this company and i wish to never work at a place like this again

Poor management and treated like a number not a person. Told there is progression but this is a lie. For a telecommunications job not work from home options Poor holiday system and they try there best not to give them. Outdated equipment. Are punished if you are not 15 minutes early because you can't start calls due to the old outdated systems. in the interview process are told that any holidays you currently have will be approved but when training process start this has not been passed over and you will be punished for having days off for booked holidays Extremely poor communication Just get your set rota changed zero work life balance
