Pros

As a Solution Consultant, you are given lots of autonomy and hands off. No one is looking over your shoulder everyday. You work out of your home office. You are given an Office Depot account, a 4G hotspot to connect to internet OR your home wifi paid for (one or the other). You have expense account and travel account. Compensation is above average and bonus plans are excellent but the entire team must achieve it. Lots of training is provided, such as self pace, knowledge base, and classrooms.

Cons

Some might consider hands-off and autonomy a con because you need discipline and focus to get the job done. You should be self-motivated. As an exempt employee, you don't get paid overtime, and yes you work all hours as needed to get the job done. With traveling almost all the time, you can leave on a Sunday and not return until the following Saturday. Solution Consultants do not get to attend "Club" events even if you meet achievements / bonuses. This is a difficult role if you don't have the necessary technological aptitude as in computer science knowledge. You only get to have a Microsoft O/S laptop and not given a choice of Apple O/S.

Pros

Offer a niche product that most the current workforce helped develop. HQ is a really nice building. They do a lot in the local community for charities and education.

Cons

They need to mix-up their leadership. Too many 'old school' ways of doing things. Too many hands in too many pots. Need to get away from the contingent workforce and bring all recruiting in-house. Very hard to work with.
