Pros

Teradata has a high focus on coaching their consultants on the technology. Employees are encouraged to attend classes and seminars in Teradata, Aster and Aprimo products. The company has a large knowledge repository in the Teradata University as well as its employees.

Cons

Requires more management bent of mind.

A good place to work

Pros

Teradata focusses on outputs and quality of work for our customers, rather than on useless stuff such as corporate dress codes. Work flexibility is high including working from home or client sites as appropriate. Training is a key focus, so there's lots of opportunities to learn new skills.

Cons

Teradata is a work place with communal decision making as a core style. Even relatively small decisions require working with people from a range of departments and gaining a consensus. Sometimes this is a huge strength, other times it can be a major blocker to action.

Pros

Great team, work ethic, and environment. Constant challenge and cutting edge technology to work on.

Cons

Less than competitive salary, difficulty getting compensated for responsibility given.
