      Pros and Cons of working with Teradata ADC

      Pros

      Pros: 1) Really great brand name in Datawarehousing 2) Best Teradata Training and certification support All in all really good place to work in to start your career or at the end of your career.

      Cons

      Cons: 1) Flat Hierarchy structure, diificulty in getting promoted 2) Job is more Technology oriented. Less chances of getting managerial experience

      Pros

      Very good place to start your career. There are many talented veteran employes and get to learn a lot. - Lot of technical learning through discussions - Friendly managers . - Almost no politics - Work life balance. Flexibility to work according to your suitable time.

      Cons

      As mentioned, don't dream to buy a big home out of Teradata's salary. Package is below market level and much less as compared to similar type of work in other companies.

      Pros

      Many people are very smart, helpful, have good ideas, and good intentions.

      Cons

      TD management does not understand the basics of the business, so they can't evaluate their employees. They don't trust the employees, don't show respect, treat people like children, scold for the slightest infraction of their myriad policies. They call us "associates", but there is no profit sharing. Leadership can't communicate effectively the goals, strategies, or upcoming events. There is very poor organization, poor morale, and no room to be creative. There are a lot of open reqs because so many people are leaving, even in this economy which is the worst since 1930's!
