      Stuck-up with no reason to be

      Pros

      Good technical staff. Great technical resources for learning the firm's software products. Senior management tries to align staff around common messages and goals. Work/life balance is generally decent.

      Cons

      Their technology is good, but expensive and highly specialized - there isn't much worth to learning it unless you expect to stay a long time, and given that Hadoop is eating Teradata's lunch Teradata may not have a lot of time left. The sales teams rule the roost - a lucky salesperson that lands one good deal is given license by management to treat tech consultants like dirt.

      Great co-workers, laid back, good work-life balance. Do your job well and you have a good deal of freedom.

      Cons

      Overly process-driven, too many levels of management. Not focused on cutting-edge technology. Ineffective project management.

      Pros

      Company recognized and is acting on need to transition to newer technologies, innovate and deliver value to customers. Removing CEO in 2016 was a positive.

      Cons

      New C-level leadership is inexperienced causing the organization to thrash. Lack of consistency in initiatives and engineering mentality for product development
