Hi there. Have you checked our the new open enrollment benefits at a glance? We've recently increased the amount of tuition assistance to employees seeking undergraduate and graduate degrees. We encourage employees to pursue a further education if they wish, and are always working to improve our own contributions to it as well. Thanks for your review!

Pros

Unlimited Vacation Mileage reimbursement Get to work in various data centers throughout your area

Cons

Lack of recognition for individual efforts Very time consuming, expect a lot of a after hours and weekend work, if you complain they'll just wave you signed up for a 24x7 job Non Technical managers are the worst. They'll micromanage you with no regards to your own time as to why you aren't getting things done faster. They offer nothing and are completely unsympathetic to your needs. Most them are there thanks to cronyism mentioned in a few other posts. No Overtime. On Call pay is a joke. Back filling open positions burdens the existing staff. I had been through several changes in the team during my duration and it was always painful on boarding new hires as the company offered training isn't good. At one point it took 6 months to bring on a replacement for the departed SSE. That was 6 months of running around to cross cover for that lack of that employee. Lack of ownership from other organizations and teams, it's always someone else's problem which usually falls to the low guy on the totem poll. Flex time is a myth, you'll work all your nights and weekends and when you need a break you're denied. You get punished for the sins of others, they might be gone but you'll feel the burn of their mistakes. One manager I had was extremely disrespectful, held grudges and psychologically tormented me for most of my time with the company. This was a pattern that also led to several departures, if they didn't want somebody around, they certainly knew how to turn the volume up to get rid of them. Filed a case with Human resources about this manager that went unresolved and ultimately led to my departure. No Growth in the role. You're punished for liking break fix activities.
