Pros

You'll learn a lot and can end up on projects where you're really forced to develop quickly. It's risky but if you manage it well, you can move up quickly.

Cons

It can take a toll on your personal health if you're not careful to prioritize good exercise and diet. Tight deadlines and high pressure projects also have a tendency to bring out the negative moral in teams, which can have a spiraling effect.
