Great Experience at The Ups Store

Pros

Flexibility in schedule. Manageable work load. Great people to work with.

Cons

Must be able to deal with conflict, customers are not always happy when there packages don't arrive on time or in one piece, which is out of your control because you do not deliver the packages.

They prefer to promote from within. Tuition reimbursement. Flexible hours.

Cons

You had to suck up to higher ups to try to get promoted from within. If you were liked you got promoted. If you weren't it was difficult. They would switch your position and then tell you after that you now have a new position.

Pros

You get to interact with a lot of people. Learning - The shipping industry may be a factor in many other jobs, and it has helped me greatly to have some shipping background in my own business.

Cons

People aren't always expecting to pay so much. You might have to deal with claims. Christmas time is madness.
