      Inadequate training, incompetent management made for a stressful experience

      Close to home, pay was decent

      Cons

      complete lack of training, management was clueless as to training new employees yet you were expected to be proficient at your job immediately. I spent a month of futility and then was let go without anyone even telling me they were unhappy with me. Never been treated so unprofessionally in my life.

      decent benefit package and that is it

      WOW....This company is full of Directors and VP's, none of them required to actually work from what I can tell. Thermo does a tremendous amount of planning and not enough doing. unreachable targets are eventually met by eliminating positions. tremendous pressure not to report accidents and to label anyone silly enough to report one, a "bad"employee. Inept managers are reassigned whereas average workers are fired. the operation out of Pittsburgh is run like a club for overpaid not very effective leaders. What a mess!!!!

      The medical and dental benefits are good.

      Cons

      Horrible place to work. Management shows no respect to it's employees whatsoever. Management is clueless, decisions are made without knowing what the real facts are. Customers and employees are treated poorly. Do not even consider working here unless you are glutton for punishment. PPI is a joke, everybody knows it, but management buries it's head in the sand like they always do.
