All around,,, great place to work

Pros

Lots of room for advancement within the organization. This is a large global company with many groups and divisions that make up the organization. They pay the sales team well (but expect a lot out of you at the same time). The company has great values, great people and great products.

Cons

Lots of political red tape when you try to get things done. I have seen plans made, lots of effort put fourth towards those plans, and then things change at the drop of a hat. Things are always evolving and changing, so be prepared for a dynamic environment. Often times, you will also find different divisions of Thermo Fisher competing against one another for the same business. This results in lots of wasted time and frustration.

Some Great Strengths and Great Weaknesses

Pros

Formal, politically correct environment. Plenty of very talented co-workers. Decent benefits and PTO policy.

Cons

Amazingly inadequate information systems and support. HR preaches role model leadership, but management only employes it to protect deep company pockets. No real mentoring, coaching or training opportunities. Leadership will take no risks that jeopardize personal upward mobility.
