Pros

Lone worker which is great because nobody bothers you and you get the benefit of planning your day and being responsible for your own time.

Cons

Lone worker, which can be terrible when lab work gets busy. Prep most of your own media. Prepare all food sample bags. Plan all experiments yourself. Execute all experiments yourself. Report all results to leadership. Create powerpoints, trainings, and posters for IAFP by yourself. Little to no support because you are a lone worker. Lots of domestic and international shipping tasks with absolutely zero notice but high priority which can really mess up your day/week.

Pros

Global company, exposure to product life cycle management, good learning experience for every one coming from academia and other industries. Primely located with easy access to public transport.

Cons

A lot. Mainly the senior leadership clique group of Bangalore RnD leaves a lot to be desired. Many entry level RnD scientists have zero industrial experience. Have no skill that is transferrable. They are hired just because the senior leadership knows nothing in that field or just ego hires of leaders. The culture of Bangalore RnD has stagnated for a long time like cess pool and infested with inefficiency and high level politics. Absolute unprofessionalism in the name of democratic decision making has crept in. In other words, leaders will not be accountable for anything. Group accountability is non existent.
