Pros

Mission, meaningful work, satisfaction from your outputs, opportunities to contribute to solving important problems, good for building a network of contacts, learning opportunities, life-work balance, social package. Zero tolerance to harassment. You can meet some very talented and bright people. Pension fund for FTA holders.

Cons

You are a small part of a big machine. Your work benefits the image of the organization and top management, not yours. Staff is overburdened. It takes time to learn the procedure with poor onboarding. The system is built to keep not the most talented and dedicated but mediocre and patient. Frequent change management brings frustration.
