Pros

Best agency of the UN to work for. Projects are global, new reports published daily (!) and colleagues collaborate across countries. Supervisors will train and teach you plus internally UNDP offers online training courses.

Cons

Stipend for interns depends on country location, job security afterwards is uncertain, it may open up new opportunities for volunteering or sponsorship-based activities. It’s what you make out of it!

Pros

I gained a lot during the internship. I grew tremendously as a professional and learned to overcome my limits. I also saw first hand all the good that the programme was doing for the people in rural areas in Georgia.

Cons

The work was remote, so I did not have to go to the office most of the time. Therefore, the problems and inquiries which could have been resolved in a minute at the office were being resolved at a slower pace while waiting for email responses. However, this was COVID-19 period, so nothing could have been done about this at the time.
