Pros

Co-workers Paid well Insurance for union dues Customers at certain locations were like family after years of service.

Cons

MANAGEMENT, after 2022, has become atrocious. Some workers are allowed to get overtime(without disciplinary actions) while others are fired for 1st offenses. They refuse to read the contract or adhere to the terms. Union reps will just tell you grieve the infraction. 0 accountability, as they can break the contract daily with no repercussions. Post covid culture meant they hired too many people, workers laid off for months until volume picked up. Lack of personal workmanship amongst 70% of the staff. Throwing packages into trucks, standing on customer packages, thefts, and so much more. The training disappeared right along with the HR department. So reporting things to UPS meant telling your direct supervisor. You see the problem with that. Every accident, even ones where the driver isn't even in the vehicle, is the driver's fault. UPS management will play Monday morning quarterback and find every reason to pin it on the driver. Even when hit by a drunk driver. Management's lack of communication, professionalism, and knowledge will lead to many days where you are taken advantage of, all while they are building a file to fire you over.

Pros

Unionized, so great pay and greater benefits

Cons

You are LITERALLY nothing more than a number at UPS. Management will speak to you as if you're a piece of garbage; they don't care about you at ALL. The only thing management cares about is making their numbers.

Pros

Decent work, when you actually get to work.

Cons

Seasonal drivers are given very little work after peak season. I worked as one, worked thru peak, and then January hit and my On Car basically had me in an on call state. I literally only worked Saturdays and with Union dues still coming out of my check I literally got a zero dollar paycheck once.
