Pros

Thanks to the teamsters (when I was there at least) the benefits were great, particularly the health insurance.

Cons

Supervisors have a tendency to find a single employee in their area with decent work ethic and then work them to the bone while the rest of the employees slack majorly. The one good employee is held to strict expectations (write ups for being late, having to come in early and stay late, consistently working high volume loads even when they can't physically handle it, etc) while the others are left to their own devices. I was putting in 60-70hrs a week by the time I quit, and I know other areas had this issue as well.

Pros

overnight, gives you more time during the day for other things, like going to school, another job, or focusing on building your own business. some supervisors are ok but they all follow their own bosses , the ones hirer up so at the end of the day whether they are friendly or not their first priority is appeasing the demands from those "above them" to the determents of the package handlers

Cons

they over work you , they basically want to rush you to finish the work so you work less time. they don't really want anyone going over 5 hours. they are times of course when you will have more than 5 hours. when the incoming packages are high like during holidays. but however they can they will try and cut hours and rush out packages. its not completely terrible but it is hard work and depending on who your manager is will make a difference of if you stay or go for the most part. if you have a great manager then its not too bad just heavy work flow
