Pros

Benefits that now take a year to get. (I got them in 7 weeks) Tuition reimbursement

Cons

Managers yell for you to work faster but after you get in the union you can ignore them since they can't really do anything to you. General working environment seems extremely moody and short-tempered, not management for the most part but sorters and some fellow unloaders are always yelling and can be a pain to deal with. Cheap as hell. The safety BBQ that is held quarterly at best, consist of a can of pop, bag of chips, and two burgers grilled out back. It probably costs $2-3 a person and anytime anything else is proposed it costs too much even though it's 4 times a year at best and usually or once or twice. Also, they are so cheap that they don't supply pens to supervisors that have to do paperwork.

Pros

most immediate supervisors are nice. they shift generally goes pretty fast because you are constantly doing work. pay is good enough.

Cons

upper management can be a bit pushy. you are never unloading fast enough or safe enough for them. fine other than that.
