      Pros

      Patriotism, guaranteed retirement at 20 years(currently), opportunities to travel and if you don't like your bosses/coworkers the personnel rotation will shuffle you or them, computer programming field(if you do end up coding) can have you coding anything from Assembly to Cold Fusion, shared experiences leading to lifelong friendships are very common, excellent job/life experiences for young men and women

      Cons

      Easy to get stuck in a bad job/location for years due to manning, on/after E-5 will stop doing anything related to IT, AF seems to push enlisted to take the role of an administrative assistant or party planner regardless of actual job, computer programming field doesn't always mean you will have a role in the software development lifecycle

      Pros

      Can't think of one. I worked for the Air Force as a computer scientist for 2 and a half years and it was a nightmare. If you have any choice whatsoever, go work somewhere else. You'll make more money and they'll appreciate you more.

      Cons

      Everything. I couldn't begin to count how many times I was lied to about my pay, my job duties, pretty much everything. The people who work there for more than a year or two only do so because they couldn't get hired elsewhere if they tried.

      Pros

      Best Air Force in the world. Continues to strive for excellence, service before self, and integrity. A lot of freedom to innovate and find better ways to do things and possibly earn bonuses.

      Cons

      It is very challenging to achieve promotions in a pool of so many great people, but most people like the challenge. There is always red tape, and bad management decisions no matter the company.
