Pros

Free education not only to myself but also to family members. This includes medical benefits for yourself to include life insurance and benefits. It's much more personal than simply checking in and getting paid.

Cons

Some of the cons of working for the US Air Force is the amount of "groupthink" and the sever lack of individuality. Creativeness is definitely not a prized or valued characteristic and thinking outside of the box rarely gets rewarded. There are systems in place with too much structure and rigidity to grow.

Pros

You get to work sid by side with a lot of good folks. The pay isn't bad. The great benefits is where you make your money.

Cons

Deployments are perhaps the worst thing about being in the military. If working a 9 to 5 is your thing then the military isn't.

Pros

It is great for young people, shows them guidance on how to go forward in life, however, when you become older and have a mind of your own, it is more difficult to hold back your own opinion

Cons

Any job in the military is difficult for families. You can be gone from them for lengthy amounts of time. Also promotions can be very slow in particular with the Air Force, versus other branches.
