Pros

Professionalism Honorable work See the world Super benefits. Always felt a sense of pride and enjoyed working as a team.

Cons

Always gone. Long hours. Endure hardships. Good old boys clubs decides what in residence professional military education you will or will not attend. Both are career changers.

Pros

Excellent pay, benefits, and job security. Medical and Dental are great along with the base amenities. Travel opportunities are excellent for you and family.

Cons

Managers lack confidence in taking care of family issues. Jumping before thinking is an everyday event. Long deployments are contributing to the destruction of the American family.

People Travel - I have been all over the country and world in only a few years Pay is very good for age/experience levels without requiring a degree Training in jobs that offer good civilian opportunities Education benefits +++ Overall benefits

Cons

Enlisted promotion system lacks opportunities for faster advancement; needs to be structure like the Army. Degrees for enlisted personnel are only necessary for senior enlisted advancement past rank of E-7. Evaluation system is over-inflated
