Pros

Great teamwork and comradary among airmen. We stick together during the most difficult times and you can't put a price on that.

Cons

Very inept leadership. Not all, but key persons that have command are not good. Unfortunately some leadership decides to do whatever it takes to make rank rather than lead with the AF core values at heart.

Pros

The Air Force is a great place to work. You have to opportunity to experience things and go places that you would not get otherwise. There is a vast amount of diversity and you meet tons of amazing people. The benefits are outstanding. Being apart of the Air Force gives you the opportunity to enhance your job skills significantly.

Cons

The downsides of being in the Air Force is that this life style can be very challenging. It is in no way comparable to being a civilian and it can be difficult on people who have families. You can be given a short notice deployment. You are required to be on call at all times. You are also required to participate in a vast amount of volunteer activities outside of your regular work schedule. There are alot of rules and regulations that must be followed. Chances are if you get in trouble you wont lose your job as a civilian would but you could potentially lose rank which also makes you lose pay. There are those who will abuse rank and talk to you however they please because they manage to get away with doing so. No job is perfect. There will always be the bad that accompanies the good.
