      Pros

      Great benefits, medical coverage is abundant; for the most part, fellow employees are very dedicated and willing to work with others. Time off is also a plus (all federal holidays off). Pay is not bad either.

      Cons

      Lots of politics; promotion to the next level is difficult unless you have an inside track with a senior manager/leader. Policy and procedures are various and clutter how we do business at times.

      Pros

      Great camaraderie and sense of purpose. Great benefits, especially family programs, medical, and dental.

      Cons

      Many nights away from home. Promotions partly based on merit, but limited by years in grade or service. Certainly many hardships.
