      Pros

      * 30 days paid vacation. * Ability to travel to places and experiance cultures you migh not otherwise have an opportunity to do. * Diversivied work enviorment. * Great learning experiance. Lots of training. * Job security in an uncertain job market.

      Cons

      * Getting harder to enjoy the places you will visit. * Can be hard to take your vacation time on the dates you would like. * Long work hours and deployment schedules can be unpredictable. * Choice of assignments.

      Its work with good benefits, but you end up living the navy more than you live your life.

      Pros

      I was proud to serve my country, and I got to see many different countries that I would not have normally been able to see. The benefits were good.

      Cons

      I did not like how much time I spent on the ship. I was generally in a 3 to 5 section duty rotation which means that even while we were at home port, I would have to spend every 3rd or 5th day on the ship for at least 24 hours. Including being underway, I averaged being on the ship at least 80 hours per week.

      The military can tell you when to come and go. If they need you, they will find a spot for you. They can and have made up rules that have gotten students attrited from training pipelines
