Great place for professional growth!

Pros

One will find great camaraderie in the Navy. The pay also increases nicely in the first three years of service for a young sailor. I will never forget the skills that I learned serving in the Navy. Another great thing is the new Post 9/11 G.I. Bill which pays for college and an apartment as well. The Navy has set me up for success in life.

Cons

Deployments can be a challenge if one is married. Schedule changes at the last minute does get tedious after a certain point.

Pros

Good salary, good perks. Able to feel you are doing something for the nation. Get to meet all kinds of people, many great to work with.

Cons

Govt red tape, slow, personnel change over. Policy sometime outdated, or do it the old way mentality. sometime underappreciated. Brown nosers!
