Pros

Excellent place to learn leadership skills. Learn from different styles. Responsibility for very young age is very common. Team Work is very good. Fast Pace lifestyle. Diverse community

Cons

Pay sucks, You work long hours. If there is overtime then this would not be an issue. Advancement sucks. Quota for advancement is very restricted. Politics (though it never bothered me, i just worked hard and mind'd my own business) Quality of living if you ware enlisted is awful. Go officer, they have better food for dinner.

The ability to travel through out the world at a young age. Navy provides discipline and structure to young people.

Cons

The training provided is based on tradition. Leadership is not willing to accept changes based on tradition. People are not always put in the right leadership position.
