Pros

As I said, good people, and good work. The people are all in it for mostly the right reasons, and the work is simply worth doing. Hard to be dissatisfied with that.

Cons

Can certainly be a thankless job. There's clearly no overtime, and being in the military subjects you to the whims of others.

Pros

Great benefits, travel, retirement, pride, professional development, education opportunities. If you do well in the Navy, it will serve you well in your transition too the civilian world.

Cons

a lot of time away from family, LONG hours, occasional problems with upper management, move every few years. New location means new management, which can be a great thing or a bad thing depending on how well you liked your previous location.

Cons

Long, sometimes arduous work Frequent separation from family and friends Frustrating requirements Some bosses are inept and there isn't anything you can do about it Difficult living conditions deployed or underway
