You get excellent vacation time, good hours, you get every other friday off. It's the ideal job if you want to balance your life with work, excellent for working professional moms.

Cons

Pay & Benefits Nuclear background sets you up for success (if you want to continue to work in the nuclear power field)

Cons

If you're a hard worker, you will be abused, especially if you're competent. Nothing is more frustrating than having someone's work assigned to YOU because THEY couldn't get it done. What does hard work get you? More work... Recognition for achievements is SEVERELY lacking. Promotions are based on time in service, not on performance. I call it "Leadership by Attrition". I wouldn't do it again...

Pros

Great job flying with students and teaching them how to fly. This tour was great. Time off when needed was no problem and I appreciated that.

Cons

Very political, its all about who you know and if you are an officer, WHERE you went to college. If you are not an Academy grad, you will go nowhere in your career in the Navy.
