Pros

What a nightmare. Not even a decent salary can make up for the chaotic and incomprehensible decisions from upper management. Every day is a new pivot, turning the workplace into a circus of incompetence. The sheer level of mismanagement is mind-boggling and turns what should be straightforward tasks into a mind-altering acid trip of confusion and frustration. If you value your sanity and professional growth, steer clear of this disaster. Unless you like this kind of ambiguity which leads to no results and people who have been doing such nonsense for 20 some years are considered “leaders” here.

Cons

Working here has been an exercise in futility and frustration. The company engages in numerous pointless projects just to keep PMOs busy, with very few actual experts around. Instead, it’s filled with people who talk too much and want to feel important. The media portrays this bank as innovative, but that’s far from the truth. It’s more about an obsession with appearing innovative rather than actually being so. The communication style is abysmal, with even the simplest tasks taking four weeks to complete. There is no decision-making capability within the organization; everyone just blames the new CEO for everything. Despite appearing to do well on a quarter-to-quarter or year-over-year basis, the reality is that the bank has so much overhead that I wouldn’t be surprised if it fails when the banking sector hits another rough patch. If you value efficiency, expertise, and genuine innovation, look elsewhere. Here they only want to appear innovative while wasting time and resources.
