Pros

I got many jobs from Upwork, I am currently working on Upwork.

Cons

Upwork policy change leads to client migration to Linked in, Yes – The turn of events at Upwork has made clients shift their business to Linked in. In recent actions that have occurred recently, Upwork, the world’s freelancing marketplace has followed policy changes which have led to high movement of clients to other platforms such as LinkedIn. Upwork revealed modifications to its terms of service in the middle of February and lost a massive quantity of consumers in response. Before these changes, freelancers were seamlessly able to obtain job offers with around 3 to 5 offers available per the 15-day turnover rate. But the trends activated by the recent policy changes indicate that the happy go lucky phase of the platform’s ecosystem is now history. Currently, the problem of quantifiable reduction in the number of available employment opportunities is frequently being cited by many freelancers and appears to predict a bleak future. It is due to this reason that clients have shifted to linked in, a platform which is mostly associated with professional connections hence the constantly changing freelancing industry. It illustrates how Upwork is in the process of realising the consequences of policy changes, freelancers are adapting to new circumstances and seeking out other opportunities to find work and support themselves. Since freelancers are gradually moving toward corresponding shifts, the future looks both promising and undefined for individuals who want to or have to work remotely.

Pros

Very nice office. Free lunch from Fooda everyday if you go in. very generous commuter benefit.

Cons

They do not know what they are doing and go through massive layoffs every 3-6 months. Anything in corporate is at risk - sales, marketing, product, finance, even HR people get laid off all the time. Just a non stop cycle of overhire, onboard, fire.
