Pros

VMWare prides itself on hiring the Top 2% of candidates, and when it comes to male candidates this is true.

Cons

So, so many cons to working for VMWare. 1. Gender matters - if you are a male you will likely be overlooked for far less qualified female candidates. 2. Gender matters - if you file a complaint against a female employee, you will be assigned an investigator who will promptly dismiss your complaint and then inform the other party of your complaint. 3. Gender matters - female employees are routinely given higher review ratings, higher raises and greater bonuses.

Pros

VMware has an amazing reputation within the Technical industry, is one of the world's largest Software companies, with great benefits and competitive wages.

Cons

"vmWomen" is the most startling drawback in this company. While I fully support equality in the workplace, vmWomen does not encourage its members to seek equality, it flat-out encourages its members to pursue gender-based preferential treatment. They have even gone so far as to broadcast an internal message encouraging the female employees of vmWomen to recruit, hire and promote other women - even if they have little to no technical experience. Sadly, this flagrant discrimination extends itself to the aforementioned HR-related processes and actions.
