You have all the liberty yo express yourself to the management, but the BUCKET system is always preferred. You Know Kannada...u can win hearts.. R&D, GSS are good streams to start..You will Learn a lot.. I know its nice money....BUT NEVER Join the IT at VMware

Cons

Its scary.. I have been there for a very long time and everyday its a challenge for survival. The Management is very ruthless and is never employee centric. VMware as a cloud company has a good name, but it has a very bad setup of infrastructure. Things can go hay-wire anytime and engineers never have a permanent fix. Change in IT management gave Several firings within IT and has made life miserable for many employees.

Pros

Good pay. Good benefits. The culture is fantastic, but that varies greatly from team to team. Overall it was good until management shifted and started doing a bunch of ridiculous reorganizations.

Cons

New management doesn't know or care what customers want. The process is full of cruft. Teams aren't rewarded for exceeding targets, instead they're chastised regularly by executive leadership.

great product customers love it and I loved selling it and that made for an enjoyable experience

Cons

Middle managment has no relevant experience or necessary qualification. I was managed by a guy who was completly incompetent. Issues raised with him, he would not raise with senior managers. Only directors know whats going on there and even they have their own agendas. The company is more focused on their competitors and less on selling the products
