Pros

Good benefits, bonus, RSUs, we were in satellite office so were removed from any internal politics. It was good while it lasted. we were acquired pampered, then disposed off.

Cons

If they aquire you they just as well may dump you on the floor.

no working from home - manager thinks Yahoo is the ideal place to work because no one can work from home no equipment - no budget in the department for a new computer, not even for a new hire. ridiculous amount of time spent looking for a used machine because there was no budget for a new one no management oversite - manager continuously refuses to clarify tasks/goals, manager has no idea what is going on, hysterical management style, passive aggressive lack of HR support - HR admits there is nothing they can do about poor management at vmware

Great Benefits, flexible work hours, above compensation package

Cons

Yearly re-orgs make it hard to work together with other teams, commission is capped at 200%, lots of turnover leading up to Dell/EMC deal
